The District's food service is under the management of Metz & Associates. Under a program initiated in 2005, students are able to pay for meals using a debit system similar to those used on college campuses.
Franklin Regional’s school cafeterias serve approximately 300,000 lunches annually and almost 20,000 breakfasts. In addition, the food service staff prepares and serves refreshments for approximately 125 events across five buildings.
The menus are designed to be well balanced and nutritious, according to guidelines established by the United States Department of Agriculture and the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
